Warning on fuel surcharges

The Commerce Commission says businesses that add fuel "surcharges" to their prices will be prosecuted.

Fair trading director Deborah Battell said businesses must incorporate fuel costs in their prices.

The warning follows 12 complaints from customers and competitors about companies adding extra charges for fuel.
