A small diamond company has uncovered a 235-carat gem - the size of a hen's egg - in South Africa only a few weeks after launching its operations.
Nare Diamonds said it uncovered the rough gem after resuming mining at the Schmidtsdrift mine, 80km northwest of the country's historic diamond centre of Kimberley.
