OceanaGold finds potential in search for gold

OceanaGold today said it had discovered several underground areas of potential in its search for gold at its Macraes mine in Otago.

Drilling had revealed several zones of high-grade mineralisation, which were between Golden Point and nearby Frasers open pit, the company said in a statement to the sharemarket.

"The 2005 drilling programme will be focusing on the exploration of these higher-grade zones," OceanaGold said.
