BHP unaware of Chinese moves to acquire stake

BHP Billiton says it is unaware of any move by Chinese interests to acquire a stake in the world's biggest miner.

BHP's share price surged on reports that Chinese state-owned Chinalco was preparing to take a stake in the miner.
