David Mackrell has been appointed chief financial officer of NZME, publisher of the New Zealand Herald.
Mackrell is currently the chief financial officer for Heartland Bank, where he has been for the past two years.
Before Heartland, he was with Air New Zealand for 25 years, including time as deputy chief financial officer.
Mackrell will join NZME at the end of March.
