Liquidator chases V8 racing teams

Liquidators are seeking to recoup funds from two of the teams involved with the Supertourers series.

Two racing teams are being chased by the liquidators of a company that used to run the V8SuperTourers motorsport series.

The event started in 2012 and its reigning champion is Kiwi driver Simon Evans.

A company that formerly ran the event, V8 Supertourers 2013 Ltd, sold the rights to it in April, a fortnight before going into voluntary liquidation with debts of $1 million.

About $750,000 of this amount is due to a trust and firm associated with the company's director, Ray Noonan.

Liquidators from Waterstone Insolvency in May identified debtors of almost $200,000.

The liquidators told Business Insider this week that they are seeking to recoup funds from Isport Racing and Scott Mclaughlin Racing, two teams involved with Supertourers.

Waterstone, according to a public notice published this week, has filed liquidation action against Isport Racing, with the case due to come before the High Court next month.
