Koru lounge members have been told by Air New Zealand the lounges may reach capacity during the Rugby World Cup, and guests may not be allowed entry.
In an email to members, group general manager Australasia Bruce Parton said with around 85,000 visitors to the country during the tournament, the Koru lounges are "likely to be very busy over peak times, and may even reach capacity for a day either side of the big games".
"So, if you're planning to travel around New Zealand during peak times and around key games, please take into account that we may not have room in our lounges for all members and guests."
An Air New Zealand spokeswoman said the email was a reminder that game days, and the days before and after, are going to be very busy and that space in the Koru Lounges will be at a premium at times.
"While Koru members will always be welcome, they may not be able to bring a guest in with them as peak times as the ability to host a guest in the lounge has always been subject to space being available."
