The bankrupted former de facto director of Debt Relief New Zealand has been sentenced to three years' jail and fined $30,000 after pleading guilty to defrauding Lumley Finance of $3.7 million.
Alan Edward Wycherley, 52, Waikanae, was sentenced in the Wellington District Court on Thursday.
He admitted the Serious Fraud Office charges during a three-week trial in September.
