Real estate agents are defending their profession following claims a growing number of people are opting to sell their homes themselves.
Figures show more than a fifth of residential sales last year were made without an agent.
Howard Morley of the Real Estate Institute says there has been an increase in the number of people trying to sell without an agent.
But he says some of those people have not been able to make the sale.
