Infratil is considering closing a sale of infrastructure bonds maturing in 2016 early and launching a new sale of 2017 bonds.
Because of stronger than expected demand, Infratil expects to close its current offer of unsecured, unsubordinated bonds maturing in June 2016 in January with $75 million to $100 million raised. It originally signalled a sale of $50 million of the bonds with the ability to accept $25 million of oversubscriptions. The offer was open until May. The bonds pay 8.5 per cent a year.
Infratil said it was considering making an offer of new infrastructure bonds to the public with a maturity date of June 15, 2017.
