India's UB considers Independent buy

UB Group, the Indian distiller that makes Kingfisher beer, is considering a bid to buy Independent Liquor, a privately owned New Zealand company, the Economic Times reported over the weekend.

Independent's products include ready-to-drink cocktails and its beer business includes distribution partnerships with brands such as Carlsberg.
