Estimates of the cost of Hurricane Katrina, already the most expensive storm in US history, are rising. Risk Management Solutions has increased its assessment of damages to $125 billion ($179.39 billion) with insured losses of up to $60 billion, where other estimates have hovered around US$100 billion, with insured costs of US$25 billion.
