Furniture and consumer electronics retailer Harvey Norman Holdings posted a 16.5 per cent gain in sales for the year as customers continue to buy cutting-edge technology.
The retailer's chief financial officer, Chris Mentis, said solid trading conditions had been experienced in all major categories, especially audio visual and information technology.
Harvey Norman's franchised electronic goods stores, commercial divisions and other sales outlets in Australia, New Zealand, Slovenia and Ireland generated sales of A$5.34 billion ($5.95 billion) for 2006/07.
