Motorcycle manufacturer Harley-Davidson said today its second-quarter profit rose 19 per cent on double-digit international sales growth and improved performance by its namesake motorcycle unit, a report by AP says.
Net income for the period ended July 1 climbed to US$290.5 million ($371 million), or US$1.14 per share, from US$243.4 million, or 91 cents per share, in the prior year.
Revenue for the quarter grew 17 per cent to US$1.62 billion versus US$1.38 billion a year ago.
