New Zealand entrepreneur Derek Handley has been appointed to the board of Sky Television.
Handley is presently the chief executive of the B Team, an initiative which hopes to create a "brighter vision of capitalism", where businesses look at not only making a profit but also at solving environmental and social issues.
He is also the co-founder and chairman of NZAX-listed Snakk Media, a company which helps companies get their advertising in front of smartphone and tablet computer users.
Handley, in his mid-30s, is perhaps most well known for building up mobile marketing firm The Hyperfactory, which was scooped up by US-based Meredith Corp in 2010 for a sum thought to be over US$20 million.
Sky Television also announced today it had appointed Geraldine McBride to its board.
