Trade Minister Tim Groser is today travelling to China in a bid to help New Zealand businesses connect with the Chinese market.
Mr Groser would travel to Beijing, Shanghai and Chongqing with a delegation of 17 mainly Chinese-based New Zealand company representatives.
Most of the representatives were Mandarin speakers, which gave them an important advantage in the market, Mr Groser said.
"This shows how New Zealand companies are becoming savvier and better prepared in their approach to China," he said.
In Beijing, Mr Groser would hold a series of meetings with the Chinese Government, including his counterpart Minister Chen Deming as well as addressing the China Centre for International Economic Exchanges.
