Griffin's Foods on the block

French food giant Danone is planning to sell Griffin's Foods.

Sources said the Paris-based company had hired UBS to find buyers for the business, which it says is worth about $350 million. Initial bids are due by December 16.

Griffin's employs about 850 people in New Zealand.
