Green MP Sue Kedgley has appealed against an Advertising Standards Complaints Board decision to reject her complaint about Tegel Foods chicken advertisements.
The board declined to uphold her complaint that Tegel television and pamphlet ads were misleading and incorrect.
Kedgley has asked for a review of the decision on the grounds that it would be in the interests of natural justice and that proper procedures were not followed.
Tegel has argued against the MP's request for a review, saying her submission identifies just one of five grounds for appeal.
Kedgley has responded that her complaint clearly laid out that natural justice was breached and that the content of the board's decision showed its procedures were not adhered to.
Advertising Standards Complaints Board executive director Glen Wiggs said yesterday that the appeal was being processed and the appeal board would hear it in due course.
