Google has extended a multi-year deal with RealNetworks to promote Google software across Real's multimedia products.
Real, Google and web browser maker Mozilla have agreed to distribute the Mozilla Firefox browser with the Google Toolbar - a software program users install inside a browser - and Real's RealPlayer audio and video playback software.
The deal, which builds on an existing two-year distribution pact between Google and RealNetworks, is the latest pact Google has signed with hardware and software companies to distribute its software.
Google is racing to secure deals before Microsoft launches its Vista operating system, which is said to have built-in search features.
