Malaysian forester Ernslaw One, the company besieged by angry workers on the East Coast, is buying a saw mill in Gisborne - and promising to create jobs.
It says a quadrupling of production will create between 30 and 40 jobs. The announcement came as the company settled the purchase of 33,000ha of East Coast forests from receiver Ferrier Hodgson.
