Fonterra milks sales records

Fonterra keeps on setting records after its highest production last season. In May, the last month of the season, Fonterra had record monthly sales of 316,000 tonnes to customers around the world, the first time more than 300,000 tonnes was sold in a calendar month.

Also, sales to Fonterra's biggest market, the United States, topped US$1 billion ($1.6 billion) for the first time in a season.

The record production and sales followed a late surge of milk due to excellent autumn conditions.
