An extra 18 flights have been added to Air New Zealand's roster to meet demand for the Queenstown Marathon in November.
Additional flights from Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch and Sydney into Queenstown will operate in the three days before the event to meet demand for marathon registrations.
A similar number of flights were planned for after the event, the airline said.
Air New Zealand chief sales and commercial officer Cam Wallace said 7500 people had already registered for the marathon, that is in its second year.
"With over three months to go until the November 21 race, it's fantastic to see so many people from around the country, and further afield, embracing what it is quickly becoming an iconic sporting event."
