The Government collected $46.48 billion in tax for the 11 months to May 31, 1.2 per cent above forecast, Treasury data shows.
Direct tax of $30.15 billion was 2 per cent higher than forecast, while total indirect tax of $16.32 billion was 0.3 per cent below forecast.
Total tax revenue was 9.6 per cent ahead of the same period a year earlier.
Tax receipts for the period of $46.42 billion were up 0.9 per cent on forecast, and 10.6 per cent above a year ago.
