Regional economic activity weakened in the June quarter, although the West Coast and Northland outperformed other regions, the National Bank said in a quarterly survey.
Six regions expanded in the three months ended June and eight declined, the weakest out-turn since June 2005. Auckland rose 1.4 per cent, Wellington was up 1.7 per cent and Waikato was down 0.3 per cent.
