The rising costs of consumer goods, including petrol, is the top worry for most New Zealanders, a new survey shows.
The survey, conducted by ShapeNZ for the New Zealand Business Council, was taken from February 9-11 and had 2851 respondents.
TOP FIVE CONCERNS:
1. Fuel prices
2. The cost of living
3. The economic recession and healthcare
4. Personal household finances and the world economic recession
5. Crime
The Government's plan to spend more on infrastructure to stimulate the economy attracted strong support, with public hospitals, rail and housing being seen as priority projects.
The survey had a margin of error of 1.8 per cent.
