KEY POINTS:
Chartered accountant and director Peter Wilson has been appointed chairman of Westpac New Zealand from today.
Wilson will replace current non-executive chairman David Morgan, who is also chief executive of the Westpac group and is retiring from the company this month.
A non-executive Westpac director since 2006, Wilson was formerly a partner with Ernst & Young. He was a director and (from 1991) chairman of Trust Bank, which Westpac acquired in 1996.
