Treasury man gets nod for World Bank

New Zealand will nominate Secretary to the Treasury John Whitehead as a Washington-based executive director of the World Bank, Finance Minister Bill English said yesterday.

A New Zealand nominee representing a constituency including Australia, the Republic of Korea and other states is due to rotate into the executive role from August.
