KEY POINTS:
Chartered accountant and director Peter Wilson has been appointed chairman of Westpac New Zealand, effective tomorrow.
Mr Wilson will replace current non-executive chairman David Morgan, who is also chief executive of the Westpac group and is retiring from the company later in January.
A non-executive Westpac director since 2006, Mr Wilson was formerly a partner with Ernst & Young.
