KEY POINTS:
New Zealand Reserve Bank has today announced deputy governor Adrian Orr is leaving the bank in February to take up a role as chief executive of the New Zealand Superannuation Fund.
The New Zealand Superannuation Fund, known as the Cullen Fund, has been looking for a replacement for former head Paul Costello since last year.
Costello left in November to take up a similar role at Australia's Futures Fund, which has largely been modelled on the Cullen Fund.
Chief financial officer Stewart Brooks and chief investment officer Paul Dyer have been acting as joint chief executives while the new appointee was decided.
