One in five Auckland properties have sold under the hammer for more than $1 million and only two of 55 properties were sold for less than $500,000 last week.
Harcourts has just released its latest weekly auction results where it highlighted high Auckland prices.
"A total of 11 million-dollar properties sold at auction last week with another two sold prior achieving million dollar price tags. This, from a total of 55 properties that went under the hammer in Auckland last week.
"Only two of the 55 properties that Harcourts reported on were sold for less than $500,000," the country's largest real estate agency chain announced.
The highest price - $1,940,000 - was paid for a five-bedroom North Shore property in the Westlake schools zone. That place has two bathrooms, a granny flat, big living areas and distant sea and lake views, Harcourts said.
