JPMorgan Chase has agreed to pay US$2 billion to settle a lawsuit accusing it of hiding risks from WorldCom investors when the bank helped the company sell bonds.
It was the last major financial institution to settle the WorldCom class-action lawsuit, which could see investors recovering about US$6 billion in funds, the largest-ever United States securities settlement.
