It wasn't a Picasso, but at the price you'd have been able to buy one - a sketch at least.
The painting in question is that of newly retired Federal Reserve chairman Alan Greenspan, 79, which has just sold over eBay for US$150,400 to benefit autism research.
Artist Erin Crowe, 25, created the painting in one day under the glare of the public eye at business cable channel CNBC on Greenspan's 6749th and final day in office last week.
