The fate of New Zealand's 5c piece is still undecided, the Reserve Bank of New Zealand (RBNZ) says.
In November last year, RBNZ floated the idea of scrapping the 5c piece.
It also considered replacing the other silver coins -- the 10c, 20c and 50c pieces -- with smaller, lighter versions that would be cheaper to produce.
RBNZ gave New Zealanders about three months to make submissions, and spokeswoman Anthea Black said a "good" range of opinions had been received.
RBNZ was working through the submissions, but had yet to make a decision on the future of the 5c pieces, she said, adding there was no deadline for a decision.
