Building Society Holdings Ltd (BSH) says George Gould has resigned as a director and will not be replaced.
Gould became managing director of PGG Wrightson Ltd on February 1.
He is the former managing director of Pyne Gould Guinness Ltd, where he led the merger of that company with Reid Farmers Ltd, and he has maintained a range of farming and agri-business interests.
He is a director of Christchurch International Airport and Orion Group but has resigned from the board of Pyne Gould Corp.
BSH, which was created from the merger of Marac, CBS Canterbury and Southern Cross Building Society, is 72 per cent owned by Pyne Gould Corporation.
"On behalf on the board, we thank Mr Gould for his contribution to the strategic direction of BSH and wish him all the best," BSH chairman Bruce Irvine said.
