BNZ profit up 18pc

Profits at National Australia Bank's New Zealand arm rose 18 per cent in the nine months ended June 30 on higher revenue from lending.

The Bank of New Zealand said net income climbed to $448 million from $381 million a year earlier. Interest income rose 20 per cent to $2.8 billion.
