KEY POINTS:
Kerry McDonald is stepping down as a director and chairman of the Bank of New Zealand on November 7.
John Waller, a non-executive director of the bank, had been appointed chairman designate and would take over when Mr McDonald left, BNZ said today.
McDonald had been chairman of the bank for 11 years and a director for 17 years.
