TOKYO - Japan's economy grew 0.8 per cent in January-March from the previous quarter, the government said today, more than an initial estimate of a 0.6 per cent expansion.

It translated into an annualised expansion of 3.3 per cent, compared with a preliminary reading of 2.4 per cent growth and economists' median forecast for a revision to a 3.1 per cent rise.
For the fiscal period ended March 31, the economy grew a real 2.1 per cent compared with 2.4 per cent in the previous fiscal year.
