Knowledge Wave Trust Advisory Board member Rick Christie will chair the Growth and Innovation Advisory Board, Prime Minister Helen Clark announced today.
Mr Christie, who is chief executive of Rangatira Investments, will be joined on the growth and innovation board by Peter Biggs, Brian Easton, Graeme Fogelberg, Theresa Gattung, Paul Goulter, John Hood, Neville Jordan, Emily Loughnan, Craig Soper, Stephen Tindall and Jim Watson.
Miss Clark said the board would play a key role in the Government's growth and innovation policy, announced in February.
The board would give Miss Clark and senior economic ministers independent perspectives on how the Government could advance that programme.
"I am pleased to have assembled such a high-calibre board to be part of the process of implementing the framework, which is about lifting New Zealand's economic performance," she said in a statement.
