The Government's tax take is still tracking well above forecast, the latest Treasury data show.
The Government collected $9.32 billion in tax revenue for the two months to August 31, 3.6 per cent above forecast.
Direct tax, which includes individual and corporate contributions, was $6.19 billion, 3 per cent higher than forecast.
Total indirect tax -- including GST, excise duties on tobacco and alcohol, customs and cheque duties, road user charges and motor vehicle fees -- of $3.13 billion was 4.9 per cent above forecast.
Total tax revenue was 12.5 per cent ahead of the same period a year earlier.
Tax receipts for the period of $9.1 billion were up 1.2 per cent on forecast and 9 per cent above a year ago, Treasury said.
