European bank holds interest rates

The European Central Bank held its key interest rate steady at 3.25 per cent today and signaled a likely increase in December as it expects the economy of the 12 nations that use the euro to keep growing this year.

Analysts and financial markets have expected an increase to around 3.5 percent sometime in December.
