A union campaign for pay rises of 5 per cent or more has been judged one of the best of last year.
The Engineering, Printing and Manufacturing Union's "Fair Share - Five in '05" campaign won the not-for-profit/limited budget category at the Public Relations Institute's annual awards at the weekend.
EPMU national secretary Andrew Little said the campaign succeeded in its objective of lifting the real value of members' wages and in raising future wage expectations.
"For the first time in more than a decade, thousands of workers won pay rises above the rate of inflation."
