Best advice you've been given?

I was told once upon a time that an angry man has never solved a problem so every single problem has a solution and a calm rational approach to problem solving is preferred.

Biggest success?

Being at the helm of Metlifecare and leading it through the capital restructuring that we've been through and ending up with a shareholder register which is now very broad based, among cornerstone retail and institutional investors, going from 360 to more than 4000 shareholders and the share price going from $1.87 in 2009 to $4.30 today.

Most valuable possession?

I don't think I can call my family a possession but the most important people in my life are my family: my wife, Jenny, and our three kids, Darren, 30, Bryn, 28, and daughter Kirsty, 24.

2015?

My view is that it will be another really good year for New Zealand and the economy, despite the milk price, looking pretty sound and I think that our industry specifically will continue to do well.
