The Real Estate Institute of New Zealand has appointed Helen O'Sullivan as its new chief executive.
The former Crocker's Property Group operations manager will take up the reins as CEO in November, replacing acting chief executive Wendy Alexander.
Alexander, who stepped into the role after Christine Le Cren resigned earlier this year, is expected to return to her role heading up real estate agency Barfoot & Thompson.
O'Sullivan has been with Crockers for three years, and prior to that spent six years as an associate director at KordaMentha.
REINZ chairwoman Rosanne Meo welcomed the news.
"I'm confident that Helen will continue to further develop the constructive relationship that REINZ has formed with the new Real Estate Agents Authority," she said.
