The Department of Labour will not prosecute against any retailers following Anzac Day trading.
Department spokesman Colin Patterson said a high level of compliance meant no action would be taken against any of the retailers that were visited on the day.
Patterson said many retailers "realised it wasn't good public relations" to be seen to be trading on a morning when people were remembering those who fought for their country.
This contrasts with Easter when 38 retailers were caught flouting Easter trading laws across Good Friday and Easter Sunday.
