* Fran Rigby has joined Buddle Findlay as a senior solicitor in the commercial team. She has spent the last six years working in in-house legal roles at Chevron New Zealand, New Zealand Post and Kiwibank. Simon Ellis has been promoted from senior recruitment consultant to team leader (technical services division) at recruitment firm Doyle Consulting.

* David Snell has been appointed to the management team of procurement and supply chain consulting company Management Toolbox. He was previously a senior manager with Deloitte Consulting.

* Technology and marketing company Proximity iD has appointed Simon Pohlen, the former head of database marketing of New Zealand Post Group, as its Wellington manager. Kirsty Grant is now Auckland manager, having previously worked as a marketing consultant for Fairfax Magazines. Jonathan Briggs joins as senior analyst and datamining specialist following five years at Proximity London. Philip Irwin, formerly with PGG Wrightson, has joined genetics company Deer Improvement.

* South Pacific Pictures has appointed Marion Heppner as head of legal and commercial affairs.
