More job ads across Tasman

A five per cent rise in job ads in Australian newspapers and websites during November suggests that employment there is on the road to recovery.

Employment ads are now over 12 per cent above the low point reached in July this year.

There were 140,658 jobs advertised in Aussie newspapers and on the internet last month. This is 34 per cent lower than the number of ads this time last year, however.

The official labour force figures from the Australian Bureau of Statistics will reveal Australia's latest unemployment rate when they are released this Thursday.
