A man has suffered injuries after falling into a plastic moulding machine at an Auckland factory early today.
Emergency services were called to Sistema Plastics in Penrose about 4am, northern fire communications shift manager Steve Smith said.
The worker had fallen into a plastic moulding machine, he said.
Sistema Plastics general manager Drew Muirhead said the man was sitting on the machine, which was not running, and he fell about a metre backwards into it.
"He's hurt his shoulder and at this point we believe he's got a broken arm."
