The labour market continued to ease in September, according to the Labour Department's Job Vacancy Monitor.
The index gained 2 per cent to 131 over the year to September, its slowest recorded growth since the series began.
The department says the growth in advertised vacancies has been trending downwards since April last year, when vacancy growth peaked at 26 per cent.
