Another sign today that the economy is in a slump.
New Zealand job advertising fell 0.8 of a per cent last month across every region, in survey figures released today by ANZ.
Internet advertising has been rising very strongly, but the drop in newspaper advertising brought the figure down from
April's record high.
ANZ economist Steve Edwards says while Auckland posted the largest decline, some of that may reflect a shift to internet advertising.
Wellington posted the smallest decline.
He says other indicators are also showing a slowdown, such as consumer confidence and business sentiment.
