The skills shortage continued in March, with job advertisements up 14 per cent on the same month last year, the Labour Department's latest Job Vacancy Monitor shows. It was the 15th consecutive month the index had shown double-digit growth.
Vacancies for highly skilled occupations rose 24 per cent, led by health professionals (up 71 per cent), accountants and auditors (up 42 per cent) and teachers (up 22 per cent).
